CAMINO HOUSE
Garden house is a residence designed to test a new prefabricated glazing wall system. The wall system consists of a grid of rounded rectangular concrete components and a resulting cross shaped window. The concrete elements provide an elegant solution for sheathing the structural components. Meanwhile, the window’s shape and repetition provides exceptional visual access to the outside. This combination allows for the creation of indoor-outdoor feel while being maintaining a light to shadow ratio of 25/75 and being completely enclosed. The indoor-outdoor feel is further emphasized by the lush interior plantings and pond.
